Quarterback Tom Brady listed as questionable for Sunday vs Titans
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Tennessee Titans’ determination – or lack thereof – to keep rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota healthy was a factor in the ownership decision to remove coach Ken Whisenhunt from his post on November 3.
The team’s injury report indicates he did not practice Friday due to an unspecified “illness”.
Brady did not practice with the team, according to the injury report.
Meanwhile, ESPN Stats and Info tweeted this marks Brady’s 13th multi-touchdown game this season, the most by any quarterback. When we watch the Patriots game live streaming or on TV today, Jimmy Garoppolo could get the start at quarterback and he hasn’t thrown an in-game pass all season.
In addition, linebackers Jonathan Freeny (hand) and Eric Martin (concussion) did not participate Friday and are out on Sunday. Edelman has missed the last four games with a broken bone in his left foot.
The New England Patriots already have another playoff bid wrapped up and will spend the last three regular-season games solidifying their position in the AFC. Wide receiver Danny Amendola and Dont’a Hightower both came into the game with knee injuries, and both were knocked out before the final whistle blew, aggravating the previous ailments. Promoted from the practice squad the day before, fullback Joey Iosefa, making his National Football League debut, took a handoff from Brady and headed right, full steam ahead toward Tennessee cornerback Coty Sensabaugh.
Mariota missed two games earlier this season with a left knee injury. He was listed as questionable, but Coach Rex Ryan said Williams should be ready to play Sunday.
BILLS: Defensive end Mario Williams is expected to play against Washington after returning to practice.
BRANDON LAFELLThe Patriots’ X receiver had a nice bounce-back game, catching four passes for 88 yards, including a deep reception in the fourth quarter. Gronk has eight games with over 76 yards and he has topped that mark in five of his last seven games.
Notes: The Titans claimed WR Damaris Johnson off waivers Thursday from the Patriots and put LB Derrick Morgan on injured reserve.
