Quarterly Financial Review of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (NYSE:HPE)

Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. set a $25.00 price objective on Hewlett Packard Enterprise and gave the company a buy rating in a research note on Monday, November 14th. “We performed well in a tough market”, said Tim Stonesifer, HP Enterprise’s finance chief.
The company reported $12.5 billion in Q4 revenue, down 7 percent from the period a year earlier. Last month, HP announced a cost-cutting plan that will result in the elimination of 3,000 to 4,000 jobs over the next three years. Its non-GAAP earnings came to 61 cents a share. Moreover, Earningswhispers.com expects the Texas-based company to report 48 cents in EPS. American Century Companies Inc. now owns 2,101,010 shares of the company’s stock valued at $38,385,000 after buying an additional 1,343,331 shares in the last quarter. The analysts estimated mean EPS at 0.46 while the high and low EPS estimate stand at 0.51 and 0.42 respectively. But HP gets most of its profit from selling printers and the more lucrative ink and toner used with them.
The Company has 1686.26 million shares outstanding and 1661.31 million shares were floated in market. Hewlett Packard Enterprise also updated its Q1 guidance to $0.42-0.46 EPS.
The story was less rosy in printers, though Mr. Weisler pointed to signs of progress there, too.
While HP’s PC business showed signs of improvement, its printing business declined, led by a 12 percent drop in sales of printing supplies. But hardware unit revenue grew 1%, the first time in recent memory, he said.
