Quiet Weather Continues Wednesday Night
Upper level shortwave energy dives in from the northwest Sunday. High temperatures in the mid 40s. The chance of rain is 20%.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy and chilly with a slight chance of showers. The vortex located across Hudson Bay will deepen once again allowing for a sharp northerly flow from the highs plains into at least eastern OK early next week.
Another round of clouds will sweep in Saturday night into Sunday morning as yet another front approaches the area. This dry air will likely cause most of the rain to evaporate before reaching the ground; we saw a similar setup a few weekends ago.
South winds will increase tomorrow so expect a slightly warmer day! Highs: Upper 50s to low 60s. By Wednesday morning, lows could very well dip into the low 20s or even upper teens. Temperatures will fall into the 40s by sunrise Wednesday, after a record high of 61 degrees on Tuesday.
Quiet pattern through the weekend will come with bouts of clouds and cool temperatures. Highs: Low-to-mid 50s.
Helping to form the severe weather was an advancing cold front from the west… impressive wind shear with height… good instability (surface temperature hit 81 yesterday in Savannah) and plenty of moisture in place.
