Quincy couple accused in several bank robberies arrested
The married couple suspected in multiple bank robberies along the East Coast, including in Aberdeen, Md., has been apprehended, according to the Aberdeen Police Department. Police arrested Joseph and Jenny Carrier after they allegedly robbed a Citizens Bank in Wilmington.
Aberdeen police said a Delaware state trooper saw Joseph and Jenny Carrier in a vehicle that matched descriptions in previous bank robberies.
Police in Ludlow, Mass. Say the Carriers were a normal couple before they began using heroin.
The Carriers were wanted for robberies in Massachusetts, Florida and Maryland before their latest alleged robbery in Delaware.
Multiple police agencies assisted in the pursuit until the Carriers vehicle was stopped safely and both suspects were taken into custody, police said.
“The Aberdeen Police Department would like to thank everyone for the tips and information that was provided to us throughout our investigation”, APD spokesperson Sgt. Shannon Persuhn said in a statement Monday afternoon.
