R NISMO and trio of Nissan Titan XD trucks announced for SEMA
With a few tweaks, and in the hands of Michael Krumm, the Nissan GT-R Nismo is capable of recording a 7min 8sec lap of the Nürburgring.
The N-Attack Package brings the GT-R NISMO to the same specification that was used to set the car’s blistering Nürburgring lap time, set back in late 2013. The most noticeable difference is a rear wing that’s even larger than the one on the “standard” GT-R NISMO.
Steve Millen Sportsparts will be the US’s official installer and dealer for the vehicle, Steve being a treasured member of the Nismo fraternity: he was a Nissan racing driver who won in his “famous” tricolor 300ZX. Stillen has a long history of Nissan tuning, and its engineers were sent to the Omori factory for training to install the package and to service cars equipped with it.
Beyond that, Nissan will display Nissan Motorsports components and NISMO parts, both from the United States and Japan.
Nissan returns to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, featuring all-new 2016 TITAN XD full-size pickup trucks, a track-tuned GT-R and more.
The models will be unveiled on November 3rd and each one will be powered by a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8 engine that produces 310 bhp (231 kW) and a 555 lb-ft (752 Nm) of torque. It seems like a fairly restrained display, compared to the armadas of over-the-top customized trucks that tend to populate manufacturer booths at the Las Vegas show.
