Rachel McAdams Will be Presenting at the SAG Awards

They’re usually a fun night and most actors talk about how wining a SAG is more meaningful than winning any other award. And when and where can you watch a live stream of stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Rachel McAdams and Jon Hamm on the red carpet? The nominees for performances in 2015, including the SAG Awards’ distinctive ensemble honors, were chosen by two nominating panels – one for television and one for film – each composed of 2,200 randomly selected SAG-AFTRA members from across the United States.

The 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards coverage begins Saturday on E! at 6 p.m. EST. Chef Wolfgang Puck will be catering the event with a menu calling for 450 pounds of salmon, 500 pounds of jidori chicken, 300 pounds of heirloom carrots, 1,800 meyer lemons, 800 strawberries and almost 5,000 pieces of good ‘ol bread.

ET has exclusively learned that Idris Elba, who leads the pack at the SAG Awards with three nominations, will be presenting at the awards show on Saturday. In keeping with the SAG Awards’ commitment to sustainable practices, online voting is encouraged and paper ballots were available only upon request.

While the Golden Globes dependably honor what’s new and buzzy, the SAG Awards tend to go with longtime favorites.

This year’s SAG nominees for best film include Beasts of No Nation and Straight Outta Compton, neither of which received Oscar nominations.

Emotional and viral moments are sure to abound – Viola Davis, who moved the Emmy audience to tears when she became the first black lead actress victor, is once again nominated for her leading role in How to Get Away With Murder, and Room’s 9-year-old Jacob Tremblay , who has stolen awards shows with his adorable speeches, is a first-time nominee. “Sisters” stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will present the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award to the legendary TV comedian Carol Burnett.
