Rachel Weisz reckons ‘Lobster’ co-star Colin Farrell will always be
On the carpet, Rachel commented on the weight Colin had to gain for the role.
Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell took to the red carpet for a screening of their latest film, The Lobster this evening. “I met him when he had the increased weight and his face and his jawline were like doughy flesh, so he will always be David to me”.
“But for sure, anyone I meet will have an idea… not anyone, but a few people have an idea who I am and what I’m about, so it’s harder to have a blank canvas at the start of things”.
It also stars John C Reilly, Olivia Colman, Ben Whishaw, Léa Seydoux, Ashley Jensen, Ariane Labed, Angeliki Papoulia, Michael Smiley and Jessica Barden.
It is always interesting to see how films like this portray our future attitudes in the changing world and The Lobster seems from it’s synopsis like something genuinely original from a genuinely original director which I hope can live up to this standard.
Colin added: “Love at first sight is possible and it’s a quicker time than that but the film asks questions about aloneness, coupledom and singledom”.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “I haven’t had a date and I don’t know about that whole thing”.
Rachel also revealed how she has yet to see Spectre, the new 007 adventure starring her husband Daniel Craig as James Bond.
A particularly unique film and victor of the Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes film festival will be released to United Kingdom cinemas this coming Friday (16 October).
