Radio Flyer launches $500 Tesla Model S for your kids
The CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, revealed earlier today that the Model X is the best auto ever produced.
Just like the original Model S, Radio Flyer’s child-sized adaptation comes with a bevy of luxury options, ranging from personalized license plates to, we kid you not, a fitted auto cover and parking sign. And while we have seen a few modded Tesla Model S machines, we haven’t met a Model S single-seater. The Model S for Kids takes just three hours to reach a full charge and utilizes swappable batteries. The standard model comes with a 140 Wh lithium-ion battery pack.
Radio Flyer, which makes of the infamous red wagon for kids, came out with their latest vehicle this week: the Tesla Model S. Sure, the Flyer Model S doesn’t hit quite the same speeds the Tesla does (it maxes out at a torpid 6 mph).
Starting at $499, the miniature Model S has the same sleek design as its larger counterpart and can be customized with various paint colors and premium silver turbine wheels.
Features include working headlights, a front trunk, forward and reverse and a sound system.
Radio Flyer’s Flight Speed batteries are built to provide high performance and low environmental impact. The Model S for Kids offers a speed up to six miles an hour (which can be reduced to three miles per hour with the flip of a switch). Your child will probably be the coolest kid on the block with this new whip however, thus making you the coolest parent.
