Raging Birds 2 Sees 1 Million Downloads In 12 Hours

While it might be tough for the game to reclaim the enthusiasm with which the 2009 original was received, the newest raging Birds still has a couple of things to be excited about.

If you can get past the life mechanic, mad Birds 2 is a significant step up from the original, and a great representation of everything Rovio learned since the first raging Birds took flight.

For the first time ever, you can choose which bird to fly next. Two teaser videos of the games have also been released by the company. Mad Birds 2 is now here and they’re “Bigger”. You can challenge other players and there are even more magic spells too, to help you complete hard levels.

Almost half (46%) of Rovio $190 million in 2014 revenues came from non-game sources like merchandise, brand licensing, clothes and ad revenue from its cartoon series on YouTube.

Rovio has unleashed its new flock in the form of mad Birds 2.

After 15 re-releases, spin-offs and remakes – and an animated movie reportedly in the works – the official raging Birds sequel has finally arrived. This is another major new changes over the first version of the popular mobile game.

Phone Arena shares that the beginning of each stage in raging Birds 2, you’re given a set of stack birds which doesn’t refill between stage screens, which also means you’re required to think of a strategy when picking the bird you want to fire at the pigs next.

Mad Birds has been one of the top most games, since its launch in 2009.

The sequel features a new character named Silver, a fun-loving bird rescued from Pig City which acquired porcine habits that make her a valuable member of the bird clan. This game could be perfectly successful as a premium release, but Rovio chose to put the squeeze on its fans with free-to-play nickel-and-diming.
