Raimi looks forward to teenage Spider-Man and middle-age Ash
There was lots of talk, and more talk, but after a few years, it actually materialized: a new series from Starz featuring Campbell, called “Ash Vs. Evil Dead“. Raimi, Campbell and Robert Tapert will executive produce the show, which will premiere on October 31, 2015.
We’re also treated to a brief glimpse of Campbell’s co-stars, including Lucy Lawless as the mysterious Ruby, Dana DeLorenzo as moody wild child Kelly Maxwell and Jill Marie Jones as disgraced Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher.
The “Evil Dead” author-director, who’s serving as government producer on the 10-half collection and is directing the primary episode, is pumped for followers of the cult basic to witness Ash’s return. Besides showing off the latest chapter of the “Evil Dead” series, the Comic-Con veteran is most excited about the rise of attendees sporting costumes at this year’s four-day celebration of pop culture. “All they need to do is pose for an image in character”. All they actually need is the true artwork of turning into a personality. I’ve loved Bruce Campbell in every other role I’ve seen him in (especially Bubba Ho-tep), but I’ve always enjoyed him most as Ashley J.
