Rain, wind, mountain snow dominate conditions leading to Christmas in north state
For now, we’ll keep the 70s going through Sunday but, if the front speeds up we may start to cool off a bit sooner.
WEDNESDAY: Gusty winds and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be around for Wednesday, with a high temperature of 68 degrees.
It’s not just fog that we’ll see recurring this week, we’ll also see above-normal daily peak temperatures in the 70s through Christmas weekend.
Friday: Increasing clouds, high near 41. Tuesday and Wednesday some sections of extreme eastern OK may experience a few showers but the majority of the area will remain dry. The exception will be the Sierra Nevada, where snow showers will be possible throughout the day.
Monday is shaping up to be already warmer than this past weekend, with cloudy skies and a high of 55 degrees throughout the day. Rain will move back in with some downpours possible even with a rumble of thunder into the evening.
Christmas arrives in only a few days and the Sault and for the first time in many years the region has its first chance at a Green Christmas. Rounds of heavy rain are on the way, and that could cause some high water issues at some point over the next week. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
With a chance of showers every day beginning late Monday night and Tuesday, it could be a damp holiday week as well.
