Rainbow Moon and Rainbow Skies Headed to PS4 in 2016
Rainbow Skies will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in the second half of 2016, while the PlayStation 4 version of Rainbow Moon will launch sometime in 2016.
Eastasiasoft Limited and development partner SideQuest Studios have revealed that Rainbow Skies and Rainbow Moon are now in development for the PS4. “The complex background story consists of multiple, interwoven narratives, told through easy to read dialogue that is entertaining and, in the cases of certain character, amusing too!”
The sequel will come with cross save support on PS4, Vita, and PS3 though such a system for the Rainbow Moon is unlikely.
Adding, “Along with enlisting the help of a dedicated story and script writer, the original monologue system from Rainbow Moon has been replaced by a more complex dialogue system”.
PS3 and PS Vita versions of Rainbow Skies still coming. For players who wish to focus on the gameplay, there is an option to skip the conversations.
Additional animations, emoticons, and conversation-specific icons have also been installed to help express the moods and emotions of the heroes. A detailed log system keeps track of every single mission and sub-task, including a short reminder about your next objective so you don’t have to worry about missing any vital information or events.
As for Rainbow Skies, it will also support cross-save, though cross-buy is “not decided yet, but most likely”. This would enable players to pick up even after a break from playing the game. All of this comes as music to the ears of Rainbow Moon followers, as a result of they’ve been asking SideQuest for a greater and extra concerned storyline in Skies.
