Rainbow Six Siege open beta next week
For the first time in a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six game, players will engage in sieges, a new style of assault where enemies have the means to transform their environments into modern strongholds while Rainbow Six teams lead the assault to breach the enemy’s position.
Ubisoft says that it is also using the services of the actor in a series of upcoming clips linked to the title, called The Laws of Siege, which will offer more details about a few of the core mechanics and will be offered from now until launch on December 1.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will arrive on December 1 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
Ubisoft announced that an open beta will take place November 25-29 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience.
Both PvE and PvP modes are also available, while a trio of maps are included in the early build: Hereford, House and Kanal. The developer has confirmed that any progression made in this beta will not carry over to the full release, with the objective of the test to check the online infrastructure with a large player base.
Ubisoft has already laid out extensive post-launch support plans for its tactical shooter, with the Black Ice downloadable content set to be introduced in 2016 and with a Season Pass already offered for the most dedicated of fans. The Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege shoot was unique in that my character is at the eye of the storm during the chaos around him.
