Rajender Kumar: PM Excellence Award Winner Now Under CBI Scanner

AAP has been firing salvos at Arun Jaitley after CBI raided the Delhi Secretariat.

Kumar was quizzed by the CBI sleuths after the searches. “After obtaining warrant from the competent court, searches are in progress in 14 locations in Delhi and [Uttar Pradesh]”. “The allegations against Rajendra Kumar were raised by Ashish Joshi, former member secretary, Delhi Dialogue Commission”, the agency said.

“Searching files at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and taking some of the files in their custody on Monday evening – what does it all signify?” he asked. “Since principal secretary is a very trusted position and Kejriwal is always against corruption he should have supported the CBI”.

The CBI has asserted that it raided the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Rajender Kumar over corruption charges, and never entered or searched Mr Kejriwal’s office. The AAP and the BJP were locked in a bitter war on Thursday, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s resignation for corruption and the latter accusing the AAP leader of spreading “untruth and falsehood”.

Rejecting the allegations, Jaitley said, “This morning’s statement appeared to be prima facie incorrect”.

“There is no need to respond to useless allegations”.

In his tweets, Kejriwal also suggested that Jaitley was anxious about Delhi government’s probe into the functioning of DDCA.

Kejriwal is “abusing” Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jaitley and is attacking media, he said.
