Raleigh Charter named 17th best public school in US

Five San Gabriel Valley high schools made Newsweek magazine’s annual list of America’s Top 500 High Schools. Kang posted. “Livingston is not in the Top 500 but Montville, Whippany, Bridgewater, Randolph and many others are on the list”.

Weston High was the top high school in Connecticut, ranking 47th overall. We are very appreciative of the recognition from Newsweek.

The highest ranked Colorado school is Colorado Early College Fort Collins, which was ranked No. 66 nationally.

The College Readiness Index used to rank the schools is based on college enrollment rate, graduation rate, SAT/ACT composite scores, student retention, counselor-to-student ratio and advanced placement/International Baccalaureate/duel enrollment composite.

Ames High was also highlighted on the list as a school in which low-income students score at or above average on state assessments. James Caldwell High School administrators also released a statement that they too have no record of receiving the request for data and expressed the district’s disappointment that the two Essex County school systems were not included.

The Chandler school earned the area’s best ranking, coming in at No. 166. Westlake’s 100 percent graduation rate was one of the factors boosting the school to the front of the pack.
