Ralph Fiennes Thinks Idris Elba Could Play James Bond

Since the release of “Dr. No” in 1962, the debonair spy known as 007 has thrilled audiences around the world with his combat skills, and his skills with the ladies. I said what was on my mind.

Now Mendes and Craig reunite in 007’s next mission, Spectre, but is this fourth attempt as good as its predecessor?

The film opens with a lavish Orson Welles inspired tracking shot, that leads us through Mexico City’s Day of the Dead parade, into a hotel lobby, up in a lift, out of a window and on to the rooftops before finally cutting as a gun sights its target.

“Man of Steel” turned James Bond, who would not fancy that?

“I’ve just been allowed to be creatively involved with these films from the very beginning and I’ve continued to do it with this”, he said. “Don’t worry about it”, reveals the actor, who likes to keep the stunts “as real and fresh as possible”.

If “Spectre” sees half the success we’re expecting it will, those bosses at MI6 might be seeing a ton of applications. “I’m obviously the one that isn’t safe”, he adds with a grin. “But as an actor I don’t want to think about what I look like”. “And Bond is the opposite of that”, he says.

“It was the best contraception ever”, she jokes.

“Should I make another one or not make another one, I’m proud of the four I’ve made”.
