Rams list Todd Gurley as questionable
Reading the tea leaves here, I’d probably qualify it as a mild surprise if Gurley doesn’t play against the Steelers (barring a setback in the next couple of days). “The reps have been 50-50 between he and “Mase” (Tre Mason)”. Todd Gurley is just the person to do that which is why Jeff Fisher and Frank Cignetti need to ensure Gurley plays a full workload this Sunday.
The Steelers did a good job of stopping Carlos Hyde last week, whom in week one ran for so many yards that he not only led the league before and after week 2.
Gurley (knee) wasn’t listed on the Rams’ injury report Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. I made the decision last week on Friday.
This came along with Nick Foles commenting on Gurley’s increased reps in practice, also a good indicator that he is ready to go. “He did a lot pregame, as a matter of fact, because we had decided not to play him, so it’s a really good workout for him”, Fisher said. A second-year inside linebacker from Ohio State, Shazier is one of the Steelers’ top defenders. Also out for the Steelers is reserve defensive tackle Daniel McCullers (knee).
After being released at the end of training camp, cornerback Brandon McGee rejoined the Rams last week as a member of the practice squad.
Either they’re going to have to learn to pass the ball early and often-preferably to the skinny fast guys on the squad employed specifically to catch the ball and run fast with it-or Fisher will be shown the door so some other Head Whistle can figure it out. “I think we’re healing up a little bit”. But I guess that’s just me being optimistic and just keeping my faith. “I was on the first flight back”. Despite only playing six games in the 2014 NCAA season, he still has a lot of respect among players from the SEC. On Wednesday, however, he reportedly wasn’t on the injury report at all, which means he’s not injured at all and thus there should be no question about his status. “You just want to be in position where you can fight and compete. I’m feeling good and looking to do what I can to help this team”. “You can ask those guys on Monday, when they got a chance to grade the film with me….”
Foles has only been sacked three times this season, but Moats saw enough hurries and hits on the quarterback that he thinks the Steelers can add to. He’s very smart, loves the game of football.
Fisher said the team came out of Sunday’s loss somewhat healthy and, as a result, doesn’t expect to have any players miss practice time this week. He was targeted more than 100 times previous year and can also rush for a plethora amount of yards.
