Rand Paul drops out of White House race
Those are views GOP frontrunners Senator Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Senator Marco Rubio also embrace. He won his race thanks to a wave that was tea-party driven in 2010 and tangled quite often with leaders in the GOP.
Paul, who is also focused on winning another U.S. Senate term, said he would continue fighting for limited government, criminal justice reform and “reasonable” foreign policy.
Rand Paul announced he was dropping out, and that put a new crop of voters up for grabs for the other contenders. He seemed somewhat resigned, following a far more enthusiastic speech by his father Ron Paul, noted by activists as the “grandfather of the liberty movement”.
Though Paul actually exceeded expectations in the Iowa contest, Fox News is told he did not believe his campaign had the momentum to build upon going into the New Hampshire primary next week.
Rubio, however, will not return to the Senate, as he decided not to not seek re-election after making the decision to run for president.

Another election back in Paul’s home state has complicated his presidential campaign. Mike Huckabee, the 2008 Iowa caucuses victor, dropped out Monday night after a ninth-place finish.
In one episode of defiance, Paul controlled the floor of the Senate for close to 13 hours in 2013 to hold up the John Brennan nomination for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Stafford said Trump is a “larger-than-life outsider who commanded so much of the attention”, which “really played into it being more hard to get the message out than anyone anticipated”. That assertion has no basis in medical research. Senator Paul has no chance of wining the nomination and the people of Kentucky should not allow him the privilege of remaining their Senator. Ebola, he said, is easier to contract.
For now, Brakey said he’s undecided on who he’ll endorse.
“He added: “(Paul) is willing to answer the questions and stand out in front of a group”.
“I dunno”, he answered.
After qualifying for five prime-time debates – and enduring Trump’s suggestion that he not bother running anymore – Paul was dropped from the sixth face-to-face confrontation.
Among Iowa caucus-goers who said they supported Paul, 10 percent said their second choice would be Cruz, according to a Quinnipiac poll [PDF].
