Rangers playoff food: Meet the Elvis Jabberdog
The Texas Rangers have won the AL West, meaning they’ll host at least one playoff game.
Delaware North Sportservice – the food, beverage and retail partner of the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington – announced the addition of several special playoff menu items for the postseason.
Choomongous – A two-foot long Korean BBQ sandwich with spicy cole slaw and sriracha mayo.
Other insane menu introductions include the Elvis Jabberdog Brownie: a 60-centimetre brownie rolled in a Rice Krispy crust, dipped in cake batter, fried and topped, of course, with whipped cream.
And for desert, the Elvis Jabberdog Brownie. Just like it sounds, it’s the same thing but cut in half.
Heading the list of sugar-coated madness is the “sweet spot candy dog” which – and it’s hard to even write this – features a hot dog drowned in cotton candy-infused mustard and cotton candy.
Inside-out Hot Dog. One-pound hot dog is 8 inches long and 2 3/4 inches around, and it is created to be eaten with a fork and knife. It contains copious amounts of chili, taco meat, shredded chicken and brisket served in a slashed Cheetos bag before getting doused in nacho cheese and hot peppers. The inside is loaded with mashed potatoes or mac and cheese and then topped with chili, brisket or shredded chicken. Served with a pretzel roll.
It seems that for the past few seasons, baseball teams have tried to out-crazy one another with ridiculous stadium foods.
