Ranieri demands angry response from Leicester players
Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri says that Saturday’s match against Norwich City will be “harder” than their match against Arsenal, which ended in a 2-1 loss.
Leicester City captain Wes Morgan wants the Foxes to leave their own legacy after the club’s surprising run to the top of the Premier League table drew comparisons to shock title wins by smaller clubs in the past.
Although that was a damaging result, Leicester are still in the driving seat in the title race, particularly with joint-second place sides the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur facing each other in the North London derby in a week’s time.
“I told my players that it will be a big battle on Saturday”, Ranieri told reporters. “We have to manage the pressure and have the confidence”.
“We were of course disappointed to lose last week, especially the manner of the defeat, but if you had offered us six points from Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal, we would certainly have taken it”, King told BBC Radio Wales. “The five matches next for us, I believe they can be key in our season”.
Asked whether Ranieri is the best manager he had worked under, Vardy said while all his previous managers had played a major role in his rise from non-league to becoming an England worldwide, he said Ranieri’s eye for detail stood him apart.
They face West Bromwich Albion, Watford, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace after the Norwich game.
