Rapper King Louie Recovering After Being Shot In The Head
CHICAGO rapper KING LOUIE has survived being in the head on the city’s South Side yesterday afternoon (12/22), ROLLING STONE reports.
King Louie is a prominent rapper in Chicago’s drill scene.
According to Louie’s representative, he is “awake and talking” following the incident. After being injured, he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn to receive medical attention.
“And you know what I’m saying, making it artistic”, the Chicago rapper said.

King Louie’s 2012 album “Showtime” culminated in the track “Chiraq Playaz”, the title a portmanteau of Chicago and Iraq.
King Louie, 28, is credited with creating the word “Chiraq” in 2009 and “Drillinois”, which is an offshoot of the hip-hop genre of “Drill”.
“Send prayers to him in his battle”, Chance the Rapper tweeted after news of King Louie’s shooting spread.
