Rapper Meek Mill gets 3 months house arrest for parole violation
Meek Mill was sentenced Friday for violating his probation late past year. The probation hearing also reportedly cost him a film role, and he also had to truly convince the judge and jury that he was still growing as a person despite some of his shortcomings.
Rapper Meek Mill has been ordered to serve at least three months on house arrest for violating the terms of his probation. The rapper attributed the violations to his hectic concert schedule.
At times, the judge was conflicted about whether she was convinced of Mill’s progress, asking more than a couple of witnesses: “How many chances do you expect for me to give him?” Mill was initially arrested for drug and drug charges. The judge also added six years of probation.
The “War Pain” rapper’s “strict” 90 days on house arrest means wearing an ankle bracelet and not being able to work.
The judge has kept tight reins on Mill after giving him a break in his initial case. Nicki Minaj has been present at the hearings and testified on Meek Mill’s behalf back in December.
The Ima Boss star, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, was found guilty of the violation in December (15), after repeatedly changing his court-approved travel schedule, and accompanying his girlfriend Nicki Minaj to the American Music Awards in Los Angeles in November (15) without the permission of his probation officer.
