Rashid Khan is a keen follower of Mahesh Babu’s films
Mahesh Babu, who is known to be an ardent follower of cricket, seemed to be bowled over by Khan’s magic on the field against Kolkata Knight Riders in the tournament’s second qualifier. There is no doubt that today’s match is going to be an absolute cracker.
After winning the ICC 2011 World Cup at the same venue, MS Dhoni will be looking to gain glory same venue for the second time while leading CSK, who are making a comeback after two year hiatus. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan gave Sunrisers a good hope for defending a below-par total before South Africa captain Faf du Plessis ran away with the game for Chennai Super Kings. While MS has a lot of experience in playing IPL final, he will challenged by Williamson’s fresh approach.
After missing the last two editions of IPL (in 2016 & 2017), CSK entered the fray tentatively under the same captain and nearly same set of players. While on the other hand, Deepak Chahar has been a revelation for CSK and easily been one of the finds of the season.
With Warner not participating in the 2018 IPL following the ball-tampering scandal, Williamson assumed the Sunrisers captaincy. And it has shown the importance of having a good bowling side for its success throughout the season. Rashid Khan faces the experienced batting order that has gotten the better of him thrice (His 2-11 in four overs in the last game not enough to help SRH win) already. They have largely banked on Williamson’s batting and strangled oppositions with their bowling attack, and Sunrisers coach Tom Moody said succeeding on different kind of pitches – especially adapting to flat ones – was their strength.
Sunrisers will, however, need captain Kane Williamson to get back into the sort of stupendous form he exhibited in the league stage, along with India opener Shikhar Dhawan to improve their title-clinching chances.
Mumbai: The stage is all set for the mighty clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens on Friday with the victor rightfully taking their place in the 2018 Indian Premier League final to be played at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. This is the big one, and we are excited. Millions of cricket fans from around the world will tune in to watch the final match of the Indian Premier League.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday. While CSK has been the favourite throughout the season, SRH proved themselves time and again. Williamson is now the orange cap holder for the season and most likely, it will remain on his head following the end of the tournament as Ambati Rayudu, who is the only player in the top 5, to be playing in the final, is 102 runs behind the SRH skipper. Sunrisers Hyderabad have just played a single IPL final, winning it in 2016.
It did not matter much in the scheme of things as KKR got three wickets in five overs after the powerplay with Kuldeep giving breakthroughs with a twin blow in the eight over. SRH were hurt by their narrow defeat against CSK.
The match went well.
