Rasmussen Poll: Donald Trump Leads Clinton by Five Points Nationally

USA presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are calling for a quick end to deadly street confrontations in the nation’s cities in the aftermath of the latest police killings of African-American men.

That makes Monday’s first presidential debate at Hofstra University crucial, said Lawrence Levy, executive dean of the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra.

Both Clinton and Trump are focusing their time and money elsewhere with the election less than seven weeks away.

Trump (76%) and Clinton (75%) earn comparable support from voters in their own party.

Clinton was introduced by disability advocate Anastasia Somoza, and she talked about the importance of increasing access to education and opportunities for the disabled to get good jobs.

Trump’s meeting came after street demonstrations continued into the early hours of Wednesday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“I’m sure she’ll perform well. The debate, or debates plural, could play a really important role in how we see the race shape up and change”.

She said she’s spoken with law enforcement leaders “who are as deeply concerned as I am, and as deeply committed as I am to reform”.

Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, meanwhile, mocked Clinton’s debate performance as “lawyerly” and longwinded. “You’re going to be a negro ’til you die”. A relatively large number of other issues caught the attention of respondents, and most of those issues cut in favor of Clinton. She can handle it. There are too many young black males getting killed for no reason at all. Again, they have done considerably better since the 2016 primaries began. “She knows nothing but the mouth never stops”. I’m not anxious at all. “And that has been her downfall in many cases”.
