Ravens WR Breshad Perriman suffers partially torn ACL
ESPN reported that Perriman is set to visit renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews on Monday to get another look at his knee.
Wide receiver Breshad Perriman, last season’s first-round pick, could see yet another campaign go by the boards after he partially tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a drill during the Ravens’ final organized team activity June 9.
The Perriman injury is so unfortunate especially for Perriman himself and we all hope that he has a speedy recovery.
Perriman was selected 26th overall in the 2015 draft after collecting 115 receptions for 2,243 yards and 16 touchdowns during his college career.
Rough break for the young guy who now appears likely to miss his entire second-year in the NFL.
The Baltimore Ravens were without Breshad Perriman all of last season with a knee injury as well. An MRI followed, and then the diagnosis of the partially torn ACL. That gave the Ravens no reason to think Perriman would have this kind of bad luck after being drafted.
The Central Florida product had a similar predicament last season, injuring himself during training camp on what turned out to be a season-ending PCL sprain. His absence was a blow for a Ravens, who had just one receiver (Kamar Aiken) catch more than 75 passes.
The other main deep threats on the roster are veteran Mike Wallace, signed as an unrestricted free agent from the Minnesota Vikings, veteran holdover Jeremy Butler and former Seattle Seahawks wideout Chris Matthews.
