Razer Phone to come with 4000mAh battery
As you might expect, Razer is gearing the Razer Phone toward mobile gamers with some pretty beefy specs. The screen, especially when playing games, appeared at first-blush to be among the best I’ve seen and the sound was certainly the strongest and most immersive I’ve heard coming out of phone speakers. However, there are no rear shot of the phone available just yet.
Recently, the alleged Razer Phone was listed on a UK-based e-commerce website along with some specifications.
The device has been accidentally posted on to Three’s (UK carrier network) website and soon deleted after.
Everything else is a mystery, though Slashgear notes that the phone is expected to come with one of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processors. With 8GB of RAM, gaming and multitasking sessions are going to be a breeze. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG V30, for example, have half as much RAM and many Android phones have 3 GB or less. The Razer Phone releases in North America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark, and Sweden for $700 Dollars / £700 GBP / €750 Euro. That’s overlaid with the heavily customizable Nova launcher. It looks like the phone will run a stock-ish version of Android, given the clean-looking lock screen. The primary lens is tipped to be a 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.75 aperture and a secondary is a 13MP telephoto lens with f/2.6. At least that is the fastest we have right now.
The phone has a 4,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is said to be on the top-end when it comes to battery capacity for smartphones. One of the biggest uses, to no one’s surprise, is for gaming. The event will start at 8 PM GMT and for India it will start tomorrow at 1:30 AM. The Razer Phone is expected to launch in less than 24 hours, on November 1 at 1PM PDT.
With the backing of the rest of the Razer business, which has 35 million registered users of its software alone, success for its new smartphone business will be measured quite differently.
For everyone else it’s probably unlikely to worry the iPhone 8, especially as they’re priced exactly the same.
