‘Real Housewives’ Star Released From Danbury Prison
After nearly 12 months behind bars, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice was released from prison this morning, according to People.
Upon her release from federal prison, Teresa Giudice had a very emotional reunion with her four daughters and husband, Joe.
Teresa, along with husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, will be spending Christmas Eve with her sister-in-law and brother, Melissa and Joe Gorga. A source revealed to People that she gave herself a bathroom makeover before facing the cameras outside the prison building and heading home to New Jersey. Federal law says that a person has to serve at least 85 percent of their sentence, and that timeframe would be over for Teresa Guidice as of February 5, 2016. She entered a minimum-security prison on January 5. She is so happy… the first thing she is going to do when she gets home is hug Joe and her girls so tight. When she got home, she was met with a black Lexus SUV with a giant bow on top waiting in her driveway. The signs read, “we missed you” and “we love you” with hearts and various designs drawn on them. Luckily her lawyer was able to work it out so the family didn’t lose their home.
Bravo has not formally renewed “Real Housewives of New Jersey” for a seventh season, but it is widely expected to return.
Gia welcomed her mother home on Twitter, writing, “Welcome back”.
Teresa Giudice will have served 11½ months.
Joe, who was sentenced to 41 months in prison, will begin serving his time in March. His lawyer claimed that he came to U.S.as an infant and did not know he was not an American citizen.
