Real Madrid signs defender Jesus Vallejo for 6 seasons
Teenage sensation Jesus Vallejo has agreed to sign with Real Madrid for six seasons from Real Zaragoza, although he will remain with his current club on loan for the coming season, per Real Madrid.
According to AS, negotiations between Los Blancos and the Segunda Division club are ongoing and could yield a positive conclusion before the end of the week.
Real Madrid will be hoping fiction becomes reality in this instance.
Real Madrid coach Benitez already has four established first-team defenders in Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Raphael Varane and academy player Nacho Fernandez.
In addition to that, Real Zaragoza would reportedly maintain a buy-back clause of just €7million if they manage to secure the promotion to the top tier of Spanish football next year.
Vallejo captained Spain to the UEFA Under-19 Championship title in the summer and made 33 appearances for Zaragoza in last season’s Liga Adelante. He was a key figure in the side as his club finished 6th, but his talent is still rather raw.
