Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo ‘excited’ by prospect of Man Utd return
British media reports suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo would snub a massive pay-day at Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a return to Manchester United.
Spanish publication El Confidencial claim he is considering his options away from the Bernabeu and is “clear” he will move on. The Daily Mail’s Rob Draper reported “clear-the-air” talks were held with manager Rafa Benitez in the wake of the 4-0 hammering at Barcelona’s hands in November.
But the arrival of manager Rafael Benitez in the summer seems to have lowered Ronaldo’s eagerness to play for los blancos. “I have no problem with him”.
Yes, the writing’s on the wall..
No, he’ll move to (comment below).).
Since going to Madrid he has developed into an even bigger world star, and he has added another two Ballon d’Or titles to his collection.
And Sunday Mirror Sport understands that Ronaldo is excited by the prospect of once again wearing United’s red shirt.
For PSG however-one of Europe’s genuine financial giants-there would be much less of a concern.
The prolific No. 7 scored in the 2007/08 Champions League final, which United won against Chelsea, and at the end of that season he won his first Ballon d’Or crown.
However, former Manchester City and Sunderland striker Quinn insisted Ronaldo may come to regret it if he rejoins Man United.
A lot may depend on how Real Madrid are able to recover from a below-par start to the campaign as they look to convince their superstar the capital is the best setting he could hope for.
