Record Heat On Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve itself will feature clear, moonlit skies, with temperatures in the low and mid-50s.
Confirming this week that the chances of a white Christmas are practically nil, a spokesperson from the meteorological experts remarked that the only thing likely to be falling on Christmas Day is heavy rain.
The temperature was 71 degrees by 10 a.m. and was expected to climb to 74, Buccola said. Cooler air finally arrives Tuesday.
Temperatures at times will be more than 30 degrees above normal and numerous records are in jeopardy.
That broke the record high temperature for the day of 59 degrees at Bradley, set both in 1996 and 1990.
This comes a day after a record breaking temperature of 15C in Toronto.
If you’re hoping to see the white stuff on Christmas, don’t count on it in some of the usual snowy scapes.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for a large part of Georgia, including all of the WRBL News3 viewing area through early Christmas Day. Temperatures will rise Wednesday night, with many of us waking up to temperatures in the 60s Thursday morning. Look for snow to continue in the West, with rain and airport delays for San Francisco.
Our weather will remain unseasonably warm but also dry over the upcoming weekend as we await the development of the next storm system moving out of the Rockies.
Come February however, weather patterns are expected to change back to classic winter weather in most of Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
