Red Bulls: Sign Shaun Wright-Phillips
The winger, who is the adopted son of former England striker Ian Wright, has 36 caps and six goals for the Three Lions himself and appeared at the 2010 World Cup.
Shaun Wright-Phillips will play alongside brother Bradley at New York Red Bulls.
The club said Wright-Phillips would be available to make his debut when the Red Bulls face Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

His brother Bradley has proved a hit in the MLS since joining the Red Bulls in 2013, finishing last season as top scorer with 27 goals.
“We are pleased to add Shaun to our club”. However, the reported signing of Shaun Wright-Phillips will directly impact Grella’s status as a starter for the club. He’s won two FA Cups and a Premier League championship.
The player began his senior career with Manchester City, for whom he made over 150 appearances, winning the first division title in 2002 and breaking into the England squad during his time with the Citizens.
“That possibly slowed his development as a player, and in the end Shaun stagnated and he went from the hottest prospect to someone who struggled to get a game”. Ah, it’s Bradley’s brother Shaun of course.
Taken in this past winter’s MLS SuperDraft by the Red Bulls, Bonomo initially chose to forgo the league and bounced around some opportunities in Europe but ultimately came back to the Red Bulls last week to try and latch on with the club.
