Just like yesterday, Alex Rodriguez drove a changeup into the seats in left for a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Boston led 3-2 when Nova was pulled with a runner on second and two outs in the seventh. Rodriguez has allowed a run in each of his last two starts while striking out eight in his last start.
Since the start of this decade, the Yankees have tied (the Rangers) for the best road record (28-20) at Fenway Park among all American League teams. For the second night in a row, Alex Rodriguez homered in the top of the first to give the Yankees a brief 1-0 lead.
