Redskins: Keys to beating the Patriots
The Patriots, who host the Washington Redskins on Sunday, are leading the league in points per game with 35.7. Buffalo trailed 37-13 entering the fourth quarter in Week 2, before rallying to a more respectable 40-32 setback. Now, that role goes to All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that when he was a younger coach, Brady was the quarterback he watched most. This means they are only beating teams by an average of 16.6, which, I’m sure, you’re just as let down about as I am.
The blueprint written to beat the Patriots remains the same, as Tom Brady reverts to ordinary status when he is faced with pressure. “When you factor in going on the road, it’s tough to win”.
With the specter of Spygate in part driving them that 2007 season, the Patriots laid waste to the teams on opening weeks of the schedule, winning their first 10 games by an average of over 25 points. Tom Brady is completing 68.9 percent of his passes.
But Brady is never satisfied and that, along with the impressive talents that he and his teammates bring to the field, might be the most hard thing opponents have to deal with each week. The Redskins haven’t played since; they are coming off their bye. I feel like I say it every week, but the Patriots have so much versatility on offense they are nearly impossible to prepare for.
If Tom Brady and the New England Patriots can get past the visiting Washington Redskins on Sunday – and the reigning Super Bowl champions are roughly two-touchdown favorites – they will get to 8-0, halfway to another flawless regular season.
The New England Patriots quarterback showed up to a press conference today clean-shaven for the first time in months.
Sean Mason (Spark Sports) ranks them 1st: Another week, another outstanding game for the Patriots. “You understand the position, how to use your body, how to get open, how to block, everything, so just developing overall as a player and just learning the game a lot more”.
Now, though, the Patriots look to remedy this.
There’s no doubt the Patriots are a stellar team. “When we have questions, we go ask him so that we can all be on the same page and do our jobs”. Indianapolis led New England at halftime and may have pulled off the upset if not for one of the worst plays in National Football League history, a fake punt that never had a chance, allowing the Patriots to escape with a 34-27 triumph. Majority are dominant receivers on short and/or intermediate routes, all of them can create yards after the catch and all of them understand how to get open against certain kinds of defenses.
