Reese Witherspoon teases Legally Blonde 3
The blonde beauty landed her first role when she was 14, but wants Ava to focus on enjoying being a teenager first. Despite owning production company Pacific Standard – the company behind hit 2014 films “Gone Girl” and “Wild”- Witherspoon explained that the Legally Blonde decision is out of her hands, joking “call MGM, I have no idea!” Witherspoon last appeared as Elle Woods for the sequel “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde” in 2003, which earned $125 million worldwide. “When I met him he introduced me to Mrs Newhart: ‘Ah, Luke and I were in what was voted the worst movie of all time.’ I didn’t know that”.
A source said: “Ava has shown interest in acting, but Jim and Reese disagree about whether she’s ready”.
Would you like to see “Legally Blonde 3” hitting cinemas sometime soon? Witherspoon’s readiness to dive back into the character definitely helps the possibility that we’ll see a new Elle Woods adventure again.
“Legally Blonde“, which featured the charming Elle Woods trying to get into Harvard Law, was released in 2001 and made $141 million worldwide.
Appearing on Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe, the actress was asked what her thoughts were on a third film in the series.
“And I think that would be a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office”. “I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately”, said Witherspoon, who won an Oscar for playing June Carter Cash in “Walk The Line“.
