Renee Zelwegger Is Back To Reclaim Bridget Jones In The Forthcoming “Bridget”
Grab your granny knickers and your reindeer jumper – because Bridget Jones is back.
With her chin in the air, 46-year-old actress Renée Zellweger looked proud to share her fuller figure when the crew gathered at a supermarket in London’s Woolwich to continue filming.
While fans already know that the film – entitled “Bridget Jones” Baby’ – will chronicle her journey as a mother, it seems fans will also see the character’s pregnancy too.
It is thought the latest blockbuster, which is being directed by Sharon Maguire, could be based on the writer’s old columns.
Bridget’s distinctive heart shape necklace hung from her neck, while the actress’ hair was grown out to a longer style.
Colin Firth will return as Mark Darcy, whom Bridget became engaged to at the end of the second film, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason. Working Title is hoping that a new generation of viewers will be just as smitten with Jones: the first two films in the franchise each grossed more than $250 million worldwide, from budgets that topped out at a mere $40 million. Patrick Dempsey joined the film in an mysterious new role, replacing Hugh Grant, who will not appear in the third flick. This photo shows that twinkle in her eye, but not much more.
Entertainment Tonight Online reports that while details are scarce, one thing is certain and that is the movie plot will not be following Helen Fielding’s “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” story.
“Bridget Jones’ Baby” is now filming in England, and is set to hit theaters September 16, 2016.
