And, finally, on the first thing he wants to do when he takes office: “I want to go to work”. Stephen Colbert mocked Trump’s Tweet calling Lewis “all talk, talk talk – no action” on The Late Show by saying, “Yes, well said”.

January 20. “And it’s making him look bad, frankly”, Trump said in in a pre-taped interview with Fox News scheduled to broadcast on Wednesday.
In 1963, Lewis was the youngest speaker on the “March On Washington” roster. The protest by about 2,000 marchers kicked off a week of rallies planned by dozens of groups before, during and after the inauguration.
While colleague Nydia Velazquez said she would not attend the inauguration, she said she would be at the women’s march in the capital on the same day.
Ellison, who is a being considered for the head of the Democratic National Committee, tweeted he will not “celebrate a man who preaches a politics of division and hate”.
“John Lewis Literally bled for civil rights”, said Senator Bob Casey. “You may not agree with his agenda just like we didn’t agree with President Obama’s agenda”.
Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska tweeted that “John Lewis and his “talk” have changed the world”.
Trump, on Twitter, replied by describing Lewis as “all talk, talk, talk – no action or results”, prompting an outcry, including from Jewish groups that have over the decades worked closely with Lewis to advance civil liberties.
When speaking to Atencio, the congressman corrected himself, “We made a statement, we issued a statement much earlier that we did not attend the first Bush inauguration”.
