Rep says Taylor Swift donates $259k to beleaguered Kesha
From 2010 to 2012, singer Kesha was one of the biggest names in the pop industry, with hit singles like TiK ToK and Die Young.
“Most important for Kesha, is that these lovely, powerful women are standing behind her, letting the world see how powerful the truth is!” she said.
This donation from Swift comes after Friday’s ruling against Kesh’a request to be released from her contract with Sony.
Last Friday (19 February), a NY court ruled Kesha could not be released early from her contract with producer Dr Luke and his label Kemosabe Records.
The artist accused him of drugging and raping her when she was 18, then mentally abusing her until she broke down and was sent to rehab. “I can appreciate their compassion”, Dr. Luke continued on Twitter. Look what happened at UVA, Duke, etc. Of course any sane person is against rape and sexual assault, but everybody who is commenting is doing so without knowledge or facts. “Would love to but I didn’t grow up with money and def haven’t made as much as her”, she wrote.

Lepera said that Kesha is already “free” to work with other music producers aside from Dr. Luke.
Kesha recently thanked her fans who have stood by her during the ordeal. Taylor Swift has donated £175,000 to help Kesha’s legal battle. The producer has denied all claims and argued that she made up the allegations in order to get out of her record contract with Sony.
Demi Lovato is spilling her thoughts on the whole situation.
“How the f-k am I making this about myself?”
‘I have 3 sisters, a daughter and a son with my girlfriend and a feminist mom who raised me right.
Swift’s fans didn’t let up on Lovato though and told her shading Swift wasn’t the answer either, causing even more of a reaction from the singer. He added, “It’s sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue”.
