‘Report it right’: Dez Bryant erupts on the media
Bryant did just that on Thursday, yelling at members of the media for more than 10 minutes in the Cowboys locker room. Bryant yelled. “If you’re going to report something, report it right”. If Taylor did use a racial slur at a player, that is certainly an offense worthy of Bryant’s outburst.
After the media access was over, Bryant responded on Twitter: “Yeah, I blew up on the media but report why I blew up on ya’ll…” Don’t single me out like that!
According to WFAA’s Mike Leslie, Bryant was upset at ESPN columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor along with a few other reporters. In his explanation (Warning: link contains a racial slur), Bryant accused the assembled media of using racial slurs inside the locker room. After the tweet, Bryant called all the reporters in the locker room “dirty” several times before he was led out.
Bryant then went off again after reading Klemko’s tweet about his initial outburst.
“How bout y’all fix this **** Rich. How bout you fix it Rich. You talking to us, you talking to the wrong people”, Bryant said.
What Klemko didn’t report earlier is why Bryant was so mad, specifically, this time.
At one point, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett walked into the locker room and stood near the entrance.
“Rich” is Rich Dalrymple, the Cowboys’ senior vice president of public relations and communications. They (expletive) dirty, coach!
You can hear Bryant’s conversation, likely with Taylor, escalating in the background of this Jason Witten clip (h/t to Bleacher Report). “Saying I don’t give f- about me and calling players n-s is not professional”.
