Reporter stands by Peyton Manning doping allegation, Manning dismisses report
The documentary, titled “The Dark Side: Secrets of the Sports Dopers”, linked a number of professional athletes, including National Football League great Peyton Manning, to performance-enhancing drugs.
An Al Jazeera documentary released over the weekend suggested that Peyton Manning may have used banned performance enhancing drugs, but the reporter who anchored the film said Tuesday that it did not accuse Manning of anything.
Guyer added that Sly was “never an employee of the Guyer Institute and his brief three-month internship occurred in 2013, during which time Peyton was not even being treated or present in the office”. Although Manning has vehemently denied these claims, the documentary, which is the result of an in-depth investigation, does have some eye-opening evidence to back allegations.
In a recent interview on NBC’s The Today Show, the reporter of the documentary said the network never claimed Peyton Manning actually used HGH.
Dr. Dale Guyer, the founder of the clinic, said Sly was an unpaid intern at his facility from February 2013 to May 2013. Nearly all drugs you can prescribe off label. “And to insinuate anything otherwise is a complete and total joke and it’s defamation and it really ticks me off”, Manning said. He said the Colts, who called the report “utterly ridiculous” in a statement, authorized all the treatments he received. In the final week of the year, Manning has been implicated in a bombshell doping report saying he received shipments of human growth hormone in his wife’s name while recovering from neck surgery four years ago.
“It’s completely fabricated, complete trash, garbage – there’s more adjectives I’d like to be able to use”.
“We have not said that in the program”, Davies said.
Brady obviously has had plenty of experience denying questionable allegations this year with the Deflategate controversy, but he said he doesn’t feel the need to offer Manning advice. Truthfully, I don’t put much into anything.
“Al Jazeera is backtracking and retreating”, Fleischer said. Sly said in a YouTube video posted Saturday that his conversations with Al Jazeera were secretly recorded without his knowledge or consent. “We will go to court to hold Al Jazeera and other responsible parties accountable for smearing our clients’ good names”, Burck said.
But at various times throughout “The Dark Side”, Davies connected Sly’s allegation to Peyton Manning.
