A South Dakota high school student shot and wounded his principal before an administrator tackled him to the ground, likely stopping a bloodier attack Wednesday, authorities said.
The Sioux Falls School District sent out the following tweet in response to the shooting: “Sioux Falls Schools are aware of the situation in Harrisburg and we are working with SF police to keep our students safe.” .
All Harrisburg High School students must be picked up at the South Middle School by noon today.

Eighteen-year-old Aanna Okerlund says she was in college algebra when one of her classmates ran into the room to tell the class he had seen a student with a gun.
Lein, a father-of-two who has worked at the school since 2010, was said to be in stable condition.
She says students were crying and shaking in the corner of the classroom while they waited for news.
