Republican women knock Clinton for laughing at Carly Fiorina ‘strangle’ remark
At a Hillary Clinton veterans’ roundtable in New Hampshire, a man who identified himself as a laid- off Hewlett-Packard employee declared that he wants to “reach through” and strangle Carly Fiorina when he sees her on TV.
A voter questioning Hillary Clinton at a campaign event on Tuesday had harsh words for GOP rival Carly Fiorina-and Clinton’s response sparked condemnation from Republicans.
“Secretary Clinton had her campaign call up the then-governor of NY and begged him to pull the bill because it was getting in the way of her politics and her campaign”.
Fiorina said she understood the man’s frustration about losing his job.
Donald Trump, for example, at an event earlier this year, failed to correct or admonish a questioner who said, “We have a problem in this country”.
Hillary Clinton supports our veterans – or so she says.
“She laid off over 40,000 people, and she says she’s a great CEO”, he said.
“He’s a Muslim. He’s a black Muslim”, the man said, to which Fiorina responded, “Well, time to do something different in many ways”.
But on today’s Morning Joe, Mark Halperin acknowledged that Fiorina is “exactly right” when she suggested that if a conservative candidate had laughed in similar circumstances, the liberal media would be all over it. “I don’t think there’s any ambiguity about that”, added Halperin.
She pledged to close the 90/10 loophole that excludes GI Bill benefits from schools’ calculations of federal funds, a complaint from veterans groups who say for-profit colleges are victimizing veterans who use the popular education benefit.
It’s not yet known where or when Clinton will appear in Boulder, but a spokesman for the campaign said details are being finalized.
Republicans National Committee spokeswoman Allison Moore said that the joke was in poor taste and that Clinton and Democrats had “lost all credibility claiming to be a party that stands up for women”.
Clinton’s town hall meeting included questions about how she might tackle the threat posed by Islamic State militants if she becomes commander in chief.
Instead, Clinton proposes revamping the Veterans Health Administration, offering better coordination with military health care, private physicians and other existing resources while still leaving VA in the lead role.
