Retail gasoline prices in Texas drop by 2 cents

Up until recently, supplies were good and prices were low, so California was not importing gasoline.

As of December 21, 22 states have average prices under $2, with lowest in Missouri and Oklahoma with $1.77, followed by SC with $1.78. Prices across the nation range from $1.56 to $3.25.

Weekly price comparisons reflect this regional volatility, and state averages have moved by more than a nickel per gallon in both directions.
