Revenant Wins Top Prizes at Golden Globes
Gervais, yet again, was accused of making offensive jokes when he hit the awards show stage for the fourth time as host, and tweeted in defense of his quips about Caitlyn Jenner. The Revenant, Steve Jobs and The Big Short, had four nominations each.

The Best Performance in a Miniseries or Television Film -Actor and Actress categories were presented to first-time Golden Globe winners, Oscar Isaac and Lady Gaga. Instead, the Globes had a particularly unraveled atmosphere that included Jonah Hill dressed as the bear from “The Revenant”, copious discussion of “Transparent” star Jeffrey Tambor’s male anatomy by Gervais, and much buzzing about Sean Penn’s escapade with Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.
Denzel Washington was the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award given annually to an artist for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.
