Clinton’s use of a private, home-brewed email server as secretary of state led to a criminal investigation by the Department of Justice into her potential mishandling of classified material.
The bureau transferred the recovered documents to the State Department on August 5. During his announcement, Comey said that Clinton turned over about 30,000 emails to the State Department in December 2014, but that the Federal Bureau of Investigation “also discovered several thousand work-related emails that were not in the group of 30,000 that were returned by Secretary Clinton to State in 2014”. “I can tell you, though, that she has no recollection of that conversation either”.
The selection of the 14,900 emails now being released were not part of the close to 30,000 emails – over 52,000 pages – turned over by Clinton’s lawyers in 2014 and released by the State Department in weekly and monthly installments for nearly a year.
Clearly, Clinton has been lying about the email scandal.
