Rich Homie Quan Apologizes For Flubbing Biggie Smalls Lryics
After completing the first rhyme, Rich Homie Quan took to a corner of the stage and improvised hype words to keep the audience on board.
Rich Homie Quan is extremely apologetic for Monday night’s flub during the VH1 Hip Hop Honors. Getting about two lines out before going silent, Lil Kim was forced to step in and recite Biggie’s verse.
Quan rapped, “You wanna sip Mo’ on my living room floor / Play Nintendo with Cease and Alamo…”
During the performance of the 1995 released Junior M.A.F.I.A. single, the 26-year-old swaggered on to the stage wearing a Coogi sweater, reminiscent of the late rapper Christopher Wallace’s (Biggie) style, and proceeded to perform his verse. One of those was Rich Homie.
And naturally, the rest of social media jumped in. “Wow”, wrote one user.
Lil’ Kim invited Rich Homie Quan out to rap part of “Get Money”, and although things started off fine, he eventually grew quiet and appeared to forget the song’s lyrics.
“When you’re doing a tribute you always study the lyrics, dummy!” she said. “Lol S- Hurt, But I Gotta Laugh It Off. Gotta Do Better For The Great!”
Still, he may want use a teleprompter next time.
