Ricketts responds to Trump’s Twitter threats

GOP Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is sending out a warning to the family that owns the Cubs. “They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!” the Republican presidential candidate wrote on Twitter.

Governor Ricketts released a statement Monday acknowledging his mother has made political contributions, “It came to my attention a couple of weeks ago that my mother had contributed to this organization”.

Trump is upset with the fact that the Ricketts family is spending money to try and stop him.

Trump’s anger is likely targeted at the family’s matriarch, Marlene Rickett, who reportedly gave $3 million to the Our Principles PAC in January.

For her part, Packer said Our Principles is not backing down, saying there is a spate of new interest from prospective donors in the wake of Trump’s victory in the SC primary.

In another tweet, Lowry said Trump’s opponents should not be “cowed by his cheap bullying”.

“I think especially when we have a 2.9 unemployment rate-2nd lowest in the country-we need to be thinking creatively about how we bring people to our state”.

The Ricketts family’s spending against Trump is hardly a secret, though.

“Look, if we had something to hide, you guys [in the media] would’ve found it by now, I’m sure”, Ricketts said.

The family had previously given $5 million to a super-PAC supporting the failed presidential bid of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

“The problem with Donald Trump is, I think, he’s downright risky, and he would basically destroy the Republican Party”. Pete responded that he loved his sister, adding: “I disagree with her on this issue”. But one would have to assume we haven’t heard the last on this from Trump.

“Any time you are the highest-paid anything in baseball, it’s a short-term position”, Ricketts said. There are more than a dozen anti-Trump ads on its YouTube page.
