Ridley Scott: Ryan Gosling looks 27
The director said, “It was 2017, so coming back it’ll be 2047, roughly”.
Executive produced by Scott, the long-discussed “Blade Runner” sequel is set decades after the 1982 original, which centered on a burned-out Blade Runner who agrees to one last assignment hunting down genetically engineered replicants. In fact, Scott, who in fairness has been clear on this issue for a few time, volunteers: “Of course he’s a bloody replicant!” He’s going to have to admit it…You’ll have to see the story. Despite Gosling being an impressive artist, many fans are wondering why Ford, who has been involved in the script, has not been casted in the movie. We’ll have to wait and see how Blade Runner 2 does before that, but do these latest comments get you more excited about what’s to come in the follow-up? “It’ll all make sense”, the director said, declining to reveal any further.
One of his high-profile projects include “Blade Runner 2“, which is now in the works with the original team of Scott and Hampton Fancher as scriptwriters. Alternately, Scott’s also stated that they were going to go with the modified engineer/alien hybrid that showed up at the end of Prometheus rather than Giger’s designs. Or does the world of “Blade Runner” deserve multiple movies? “I’m very lucky to have a job that I adore”, he explained. If I was just a financier so you did which typically on my own, I’d take out your fantastic ankles.
And yeah, he even dropped a bit of a spoiler during the entire thing (though, it might not be much of a spoiler if you’ve believed him all these years). So don’t do the auteur s-t. Alien: Paradise Lost is slated for release in theatres on 30 May 2017. Will the new film find a new cast of “blade runners” chasing down Harrison Ford’s Deckard all these years later?
“It’s really about trying to get a fair whack of the tax rebate – the problem is I’m not Australian, I’m English”, he said with a laugh. The French say “Work to live”, and I live to work. “Though you’d walk into each other, so you better go in another room”.
Scott then continued “The planet it was on – and I was looking at the dark side of the moon – would be called Paradise”.
