Rihanna Just Dropped Her New Album Anti on Tidal
Just this morning, the singer released the most recent single off of the record, entitled “Work”, which features none other than 6 God, Drake. The album’s track list and snippets of the songs were leaked early when it was uploaded to Tidal last night.
The songstress’s eighth studio album was officially made available for streaming on TIDAL late Wednesday after accidentally leaking on the streaming service around 5:50 p.m. ET, according to Billboard. On Wednesday Rih not only dropped a new single feat Drake which quickly topped several charts, but also released her highly anticipated album, Anti. “All redemption codes have now been redeemed, with the supply of complimentary downloads now being fully depleted”. She released new LPs – Rated R, Loud, Talk That Talk, and Unapologetic, respectively – supported by a handful of massive singles every year between 2009 and 2012.
Track nine on the album is called Same Ol’ Mistakes and is a cover of the Aussie band’s track New Person, Same Old Mistakes.
And despite Tidal’s dismal reputation amgonst the streaming platform population, it seems as though Rihanna’s sudden reappearance with “Anti” is enough to garner users to tune back in. “Work” featuring Drake 5. Rihanna signed a reported $25 million sponsorship deal with the electronics company a year ago. The album is exclusively available on Tidal (yes, people are still trying to make Tidal happen) for the next week.
Rihanna has already announced a world tour to promote Anti, which will begin on February 26 in San Diego.
As far as would-be streamers are concerned, a full cut of the new track is harder than usual to come by.
