Rihanna reveals album title
Rihanna is hosting an exclusive event in L.A., and while it’s a rather mysterious gathering, it’s rumored that the artwork for RiRi’s upcoming eighth studio album will be revealed at some point during the event.
The Barbadian singer hasn’t released a new record since 2012’s Unapologetic, but on Wednesday night (07Oct15) the 27-year-old unveiled the title and cover of her eighth release, Anti. The artwork has been unveiled in front and back cover form, alongside braille-embellished poetry from Chloe Mitchell. And the entire album art is covered in braille. Added the pop star: “Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest”.
See photos from the unveil below. It is simple because what I want to say, what I need to say, won’t be heard.
“So to talk about it and say it once, much less 200 times, is like…” I will comfortably breath in it, until I find the moment to be silent.
I live loudly in my mind, so many hours of the day.
LET US REJOICE and eat all of the cake in celebration. Do you love Rihanna’s new album cover?
Midway through the event, Rihanna arrived and spoke about both the new album and the artistic collaboration with Nachum.
Whispers on the Internet led folks to believe Rihanna was releasing her album at midnight PST, but after a diligent east coast VIBE writer realized after staying up until 3AM, that wasn’t the case.
