Rihanna World Tour 2016 Starts February 26; New Album Details Released?
Putting an end to what has been one of the most highly-anticipated and long-delayed new music announcements of 2015, Roc Nation songstress Rihanna is finally giving her fans not one but two new projects to look forward to in the near future.
Rihanna will bring her “Anti World Tour” to the XL Center in Hartford on March 26 at 7:30 p.m. The singer will open her tour on February 26 in San Diego, performing a total of 70 shows around North America and Europe before winding up on August 12 in Zurich, reported AFP.
According to numerous reports, if the previously rumored Black Friday release is indeed true, the 27-year-old artist will be dropping her new album on Friday, November 27.
The R&B superstar is believed to have spent last weekend in an LA studio where she has been working with long-term producer The Invisible Men to make sure an “uplifting track” on the album, which is also executive-produced by Kanye West, is perfected before it’s made available and ahead of December 4 when “Anti” will be released on all over platforms.
Anti is the culmination of a long recording process for Rihanna; after releasing four albums in four years between 2009 and 2012, it’s been three years since “Unapologetic” arrived in November 2012. On June 11, 2016, the musician will hop the pond to begin her European tour, a series that starts with a concert in Amsterdam.
Rolling Stone provides the complete details of her tour.
After that, she’ll fly to Europe to start off her tour there.
For the North American leg of her tour, rapper Travis Scott will be her opening act.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale December 3 with information on ticket sales being released through Rihanna’s website.
